Richard Mendoza

Richard Mendoza is a seasoned public works professional with extensive experience in transportation and public works leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Transportation and Public Works for the City of Austin since January 2017, Richard has held significant roles including Director of Public Works for the City of Atlanta and Commissioner of Public Works in San Antonio. Richard's career began in public works with the City of San Marcos, eventually progressing to the San Antonio Water System as Manager of Production. Richard holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Texas State University and a Bachelor's degree in Natural Gas Engineering from Texas A&I University.
