Sara Henry

Sara Henry is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public information, marketing, and emergency management. Currently serving as the Public Information & Marketing Program Manager for Homeland Security & Emergency Management at the City of Austin since August 2019, Sara oversees communication planning for preparedness and emergency management. Previously, as an Economic Development Specialist for the City of Asheville, Sara managed economic development initiatives and developed communication strategies. An accomplished event planner, Sara operated Oh, Henry Events, serving clients in Austin, TX, and Asheville, NC. Additionally, previous roles include Event Manager at Whole Foods Market, Program Director for the National Black MBA Association, Admissions Counselor at the University of Phoenix, and Account Manager at Spotnana. Sara holds a BA in History and Middle Eastern Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
