Cheryl Brown is a seasoned professional in park operations and marine safety with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving in the Park Operations division of the City Of Aventura since April 2017, Cheryl also volunteers as a Coast Guard Agency Representative for the USCG Auxiliary since January 2009, where responsibilities include educating members on marine safety programs. Previous roles include Field Operations Manager at Altametry, Inc. from November 2013 to April 2017, providing logistical and technical support for missions, and Research Assistant II at the University of Miami/NOAA from October 2007 to September 2013, conducting water quality sampling and operating research vessels. Earlier experience includes managing the Fisheries Observer Program at the National Marine Fisheries Service from October 1992 to June 2005, where a new observer program was developed to enhance data collection and compliance in the commercial pelagic longline fishery. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences from The Evergreen State College.
