Anja Collette

Anja Collette is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and environmental planning. Currently serving as Planning Officer and previously as Planning Analyst for the City of Bangor, Maine since July 2021, Anja has played critical roles in project management and planning initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as GIS Director for Jackson County Government, where Anja managed databases, oversaw budgetary responsibilities, and developed custom web applications. Additional roles include GIS Analyst and Specialist, with a focus on E-911 addressing, enterprise GIS database management, and spatial analysis. Anja holds a Master’s degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from North Carolina State University and two Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science from Western Carolina University.
