Susan Smart is a seasoned fundraising professional with extensive experience in corporate sponsorship and donor relationship management. Currently serving as the Corporate Sponsorship Coordinator for the City of Barrie since May 2022, Susan previously held the role of National Fundraising Manager at Lupus Canada, where revenue generation and stakeholder engagement were key responsibilities. Prior positions include Regional Manager for Autism Speaks Canada, where oversight of a significant annual budget and the development of long-term partnerships were achieved. Susan's earlier roles included positions at various organizations such as the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, contributing to diverse fundraising initiatives. Susan holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Ottawa and a Certificate of Achievement in Human Resources from Georgian College.
