Early career experience includes serving as an Electrical Engineer at Elektrodistribucija Sarajevo from January 1985 to March 1995. Mustafa obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Power Engineering from the University of Sarajevo-College of Electrical Engineering, where studies were completed from 1978 to 1985, and also holds a BSEE in Power Engineering from the University of Sarajevo from 1978 to 1984.
