Shannon Malik Jarmusz, AICP, currently serves as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Batavia, Illinois, since June 2021. Prior to this role, Shannon held several positions in the Village of Itasca, including Director of Community Development, Senior Planner, and Planner III from April 2014 to March 2021. Shannon's experience also encompasses serving as the Community Development Director, Village Planner, and Assistant Economic Development Director in the Village of Westmont from May 2006 to February 2014. Earlier roles include a Planning Intern in the Village of Frankfort and Community Development Admin/Interim Planner in the City of Darien. Educational background includes a Master of Urban Planning and Public Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Urban Studies from Elmhurst University.
