Jasmine Thomas, AICP, serves as the Planning Manager and previously held the role of Senior Planner with the City/Parish of Baton Rouge since October 2019. With a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the University of Maryland, Jasmine brings a strong educational background to the field. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois, where responsibilities included troubleshooting ArcMap errors and grading lab assignments, as well as a graduate internship at the Illinois State Water Survey focused on data organization and geospatial database creation. Additional roles at Target and various organizations provided extensive experience in customer service, tutoring, and human resources.
