Duncan MacAskill is a seasoned professional in the planning field with over 40 years of experience. Currently serving as the Manager of Development Planning at York Region since October 2008, Duncan effectively leads teams of dedicated planners in addressing a significant volume of complex development applications across nine diverse municipalities, catering to a growing population exceeding 1.2 million. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Planner at the City of Vaughan from January 1986 to October 2008 and various planning positions at Weston Consulting from September 1983 to January 1986. Duncan holds a degree in Urban Studies from York University and a degree in Urban Design from Fanshawe College.
