Dustin V. has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental education and park management. Dustin began their career as a Recreation Technician with the USDA Forest Service in 2001 and then worked as an Environmental Education Technician for the National Park Service in 2003. In 2004, they became a Park Ranger with the National Park Service, where they held this role for various periods of time until 2005. From 2005 to 2011, they worked as an Interpretive Specialist for Jefferson County Open Space. Since 2011, they have been working for the City of Bellevue as a Park Ranger/Environmental Programs Coordinator at the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center.
Dustin V. completed their education at Humboldt State University from 2000 to 2002, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources Planning and Interpretation. Prior to that, they obtained a high school diploma from Dana Hills High School between 1988 and 1991. In addition to their formal education, Dustin holds certifications as a Certified Interpretive Guide from the National Association for Interpretation, a Facilitator from Project Wild and Project Learning Tree, and as a Lifeguard from the American Red Cross.
