Kathie Flood

Kathie Flood is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the software and gaming industries. As Managing Director, Co-founder, and CEO of Cascade Game Foundry since April 2009, Kathie leads an indie software studio focused on reality-based world exploration for PC and VR, while also executing contract development projects. Concurrently, Kathie serves as a Lifeguard for the City of Bellevue, teaching water exercise and swimming lessons. Previously, as a Senior Program Manager at Bridge Partners assigned to Microsoft, Kathie coordinated the development of internal tools to support Microsoft's sustainability goals. Notable earlier positions at Microsoft include Senior Program Manager Lead for Microsoft Game Studios, where Kathie contributed to award-winning titles, and roles in the Consumer and Research Divisions. Kathie's career began at Microware Corporation and extended to the Iowa Cubs as Novelties Manager. Kathie holds a BA in Math/Computer Science from Central College and an MA in Journalism & Mass Communications from Drake University.
