Olivia Aikala Pe

Olivia Aikala, PE has a diverse work experience history. Olivia currently works as a Senior Transportation Engineer at the City of Bellevue, Washington, a position they have held since June 2021. In this role, they are responsible for various transportation engineering tasks.

Prior to this, Olivia worked at WSP USA as a Senior Civil Engineer from September 2019 to June 2021. In this role, they served as a task lead on multiple projects at different design stages, focusing on civil and traffic design, client engagement, conceptual design, and pursuit management. Olivia'sresponsibilities included leading the Neighborhood Street Lighting program, co-leading the Annual Collision Study program, designing small works transportation engineering projects, reviewing and informing the design of traffic elements for capital and development projects, and addressing resident requests related to traffic design elements.

Prior to their role at the City of Bellevue, Olivia gained experience at the Washington State Department of Transportation. Olivia worked as a Transportation Engineer II from October 2016 to February 2017, focusing on traffic analysis and design. Before that, they held the position of Transportation Engineer I from September 2014 to September 2016, where they primarily worked on safety analysis, traffic analysis, and traffic design. Olivia started their career at the department as a Transportation Intern from September 2012 to September 2014, specializing in flow operation and congestion management.

In addition to their transportation and engineering roles, Olivia has also worked as a Registration Coordinator at BuDu Racing from February 2006 to April 2013 and as a Co-team Leader Volunteer at Young Life from September 2010 to July 2012.

Olivia Aikala, PE earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. Olivia attended the university from 2012 to 2014. In January 2020, they obtained their Professional Engineer certification from the State of Washington.
