Janice Keller has over 30 years of experience in communications and public information. Janice most recently worked as the Communications Director for the City of Bellingham since March 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Communications Manager for the Bellingham Public Library from July 2014 to March 2020. Janice also held the position of Communications Manager for the City of Bellingham from June 2001 to June 2014. Before joining the City of Bellingham, they worked as a Communication Manager for the Washington State Department of Health from April 1998 to June 2001. Janice's career in public information began in 1989 when they became the Public Information Program Manager for Thurston County Government, a role they held for nearly 10 years.

Janice Keller attended Western Washington University from 1981 to 1985 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication/Journalism. Later, from 1994 to 1996, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree at The Evergreen State College. The field of study for the M.P.A. degree is not specified.
