Kevin Fong

Kevin Fong has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kevin started their career at Sega Entertainment USA, Inc. as the Vice President of Development in 1999 before moving on to Metricom (Ricochet Network) as the Chief Information Officer. From there, they worked as a consultant at Diablo Mercedes and later as a manager at EBMUD. In 2004, they joined Kaiser Permanente as a Senior Program Manager and then transitioned to the University of California as a Program Manager. In 2007, they became the IT Director at the University of California, Berkeley, where they worked until 2018. After that, they served as the Director of Information Technology at the Port of Oakland until 2020. Kevin then held positions at the City of Oakland, first as the Deputy CIO and later as the Chief Information Officer. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Information Technology / Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the City of Berkeley.

Kevin Fong obtained a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley.
