Sandra Steidel

Sandra Steidel is an experienced professional in data management and procurement, currently serving as the Chief Data Officer for the City of Bethlehem since 2015. In this role, Sandra leads the development and operation of an open data program aimed at enhancing the City’s public policy and service effectiveness through data analytics. Previously, Sandra held the position of Director of Purchasing in Bethlehem, overseeing the Purchasing Bureau's activities and developing strategic procurement methods. Prior to this, Sandra worked at The Linde Group from 2008 to 2015, where roles included Head of People Excellence, Systems and Governance - Procurement, and Manager of Procurement Best Practices and Capabilities. Earlier in Sandra's career, extensive experience was gained at Air Products, with leadership roles culminating as Global Procurement Manager, demonstrating a strong foundation in procurement operations and strategic management. Sandra holds degrees from Cornell University and Cedar Crest College.
