Kennie Wells

Kennie Wells has a strong background in human resources with experience in various roles. Currently, they are the Deputy Director of Human Resources at the City of Boca, where they started in June 2021. Prior to this, Kennie served as the Director of Human Resources at the Town of Palm Beach from 2010 until January 2021, and also held the role of Assistant Director of Human Resources at the same organization from June 2010 to January 2021. During their time at the Town of Palm Beach, Kennie managed an $8.4M budget which included Employee Health and OPEB Trust. Before joining the Town of Palm Beach, Kennie worked as a Human Resources Analyst specializing in Classification & Compensation at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office from March 2010 to June 2010. Kennie also gained experience as a Senior Human Resources Analyst at the Broward Sheriff's Office from April 2004 to March 2010, and as a Compensation Analyst at Nova Southeastern University from July 2003 to April 2004.

Kennie Wells obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in 2002, followed by a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from the same institution in 2004. Additionally, Kennie has earned the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) in March 2021. Kennie also holds the SHRM-CP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not available.
