Mike Kempin

Mike Kempin currently serves as a Parks Operator for the City of Box Elder since December 2023, following a role as a Park Maintenance Technician at Cedar County Conservation from November 2020 to December 2023. Previous experience includes positions as a Water Patrol Officer with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in two separate tenures, as well as an RF Engineer at Verizon Wireless and Senior RF Engineer at U.S. Cellular, where responsibilities encompassed RF design and planning new cell site builds. Earlier career highlights include working as an RF Microwave Engineer at PathNet Inc. and an Open Hole Logging Engineer at Halliburton. Mike Kempin holds an Associate of Science degree in Parks and Natural Resources from Kirkwood Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kansas State University.
