Melissa Hodnett has a diverse work experience in finance and leadership roles. Melissa currently serves as the Finance Director at the City of Bozeman, overseeing the Finance Department and providing financial planning and analysis for the city. Prior to this, they worked at the City of Bend, where they held various positions including Assistant Director of Finance, Manager of Financial Planning & Budget, Principal Analyst of Budget & Financial Planning, and Senior Budget & Financial Analyst. Before their time at the City of Bend, Melissa worked at United Technologies, where they participated in their prestigious Financial Leadership Program. Melissa held roles such as Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant, Aerospace Customer & Business Development Financial Analyst, and Financial Planning Analyst. Melissa also gained experience as a Global Supply Chain Financial Analyst, Manufacturing Accountant, and Finance Intern during their early career at United Technologies.

Melissa Hodnett has a strong educational background in business administration and management. Melissa obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. This degree was earned between 2015 and 2017.

Prior to their MBA, Melissa Hodnett completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration at The University of Connecticut School of Business. Melissa studied Corporate Finance and obtained a certificate in Management Information Systems. This degree was earned between 2008 and 2011.
