Taylor Lonsdale, PE, is a seasoned transportation engineer currently employed by the City of Bozeman since July 2019, previously serving as a research engineer at the Western Transportation Institute from October 2009 to July 2019, where involvement included research on enhancing transportation options in small urban and rural areas. Additionally, Taylor Lonsdale coordinated the Montana Safe Routes to School initiative, providing statewide support for safety programs. As Board Chair for Bike Walk Montana from January 2012 to January 2017, advocacy focused on improving safety and access for cyclists and pedestrians in Montana. Earlier experience as a civil engineer at Allied Engineering Services, Inc. involved various types of design, while bridge design skills were honed at the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Taylor Lonsdale earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont (1987-1991) and completed high school at Central Bucks West (1984-1987).
