Claire Mu

Claire Mu currently serves as the Director of Internal Audit for the City of Brampton, responsible for evaluating and improving governance, risk management, and internal controls while reporting to both the Audit Committee and the Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to this role, Claire Mu held various positions at the City of Toronto, including Audit Director, where oversight of multiple performance audits and compliance with government standards was a key responsibility. Additional roles included Senior Audit Manager, Manager of Financial Planning, and Senior Financial Planning Analyst, contributing expertise in operational audits, financial oversight, and strategic planning. Earlier experience at Motorola as a Senior Financial Analyst included managing capital budgeting and financial planning for the Greater China region. Claire Mu possesses a Master’s Degree in Finance from Queen's University, an MMPA from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Beijing Technology and Business University.
