Varun Joshi

Varun Joshi is an experienced professional currently serving as an Entrepreneurship Analyst at Georgian College Research & Innovation since June 2024, while also hosting a podcast for SideQuest Games since January 2023. Since September 2022, Varun has contributed to the City of Brampton as a Scorekeeper and League Convenor, overseeing a team of coaches to teach ball hockey to youth and coordinating a league for under-serviced communities. Varun has worked as a Freelance Writer for Brown History since March 2022 and has held various research assistant roles at the University of Guelph and other organizations, where responsibilities included performing analyses and training staff. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology from the University of Guelph (expected April 2025), an Ontario Graduate Certificate in Research Analyst from Georgian College, a Master of Arts in Criminology from the University of Windsor, and dual Bachelor's degrees in History and Sociology, as well as Criminology, from Carleton University.
