John Tyll

John Tyll has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) management, currently serving as the GIS Manager for the City of Brighton since September 2022. Prior to this role, John spent over two decades at Tri-State G&T, where responsibilities included leading the establishment of the GIS department and developing Enterprise GIS applications that served various operational and engineering functions. John also served as a Senior System Analyst in the same organization, where a significant achievement was the creation and implementation of transmission line asset management software. Earlier career positions include roles at Level 3 Communications and Mutual of Omaha, as well as serving in the US Army. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Colorado State University and has furthered education at Penn State University.
