Joel Hensley

Joel Hensley is an experienced urban planner currently serving as a Senior Planner for the City of Broken Arrow since November 2023 and as a Neighborhood Liaison for the City of Tulsa since December 2014. Hensley's background includes a role as a Planning Technician for the City of Springfield, Missouri, where responsibilities involved research, GIS mapping, and community outreach. Prior experiences encompass positions in the performing arts as a Stage Hand and Stage Manager, as well as various roles in the food service industry, beginning with a Cook at CiCi's Pizza and advancing to Trainer Cook at Buffalo Wild Wings. Joel Hensley holds a Master of Urban Design from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Missouri State University, along with an Associate of Arts in Music and Art from Mineral Area College.
