Michael Drake

Michael Drake has a comprehensive work experience in law enforcement. Michael recently joined the City of Brookings as the Chief of Police in 2022. Prior to this, they served in various roles in the New York State Police, including Major - UF Field Command, Major - Professional Standards Bureau, Major - Troop Commander, Captain - Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Lieutenant, Investigator, Sergeant, and State Trooper. Michael'stenure with the New York State Police spans from 1996 to 2022.

Michael Drake has an extensive education history. In 1991, they attended Marist College and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in an unspecified field of study, which they completed in 1995. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Public Administration at the same institution. Additionally, in 2011, they attended the FBI National Academy and earned an Advanced diploma in Police Leadership.
