City of Burien
The City of Burien is a vibrant and creative community, where the residents embrace diversity, celebrate arts and culture, promote vitality, and treasure the environment. Burien is a city in King County, Washington, United States, located south of Seattle. Residents and business people alike love the convenience of Burien’s hub location and great connections. Its central location means that jobs and entertainment are convenient, high cost parking problems are elsewhere, and a more relaxed pace prevails in residential neighborhoods. Burien enjoys direct 15-minute access to Seattle by State Route 509, the major entrance to Seattle’s commercial, industrial, and rail district. The Port of Seattle’s bulk and container shipping facilities also lie just west of this route. Tacoma is 30 minutes south of Burien along I-5, Bellevue is approximately the same drive-time away via I-405, and it only takes five minutes from Burien’s downtown to arrive at Sea-Tac International Airport.
