Liz Stead serves as the Community Development Department Director for the City of Burien since April 2024. Previously, Liz held multiple roles at the City of Bellevue, Washington, including Land Use Director and Planning Manager from 2008 to April 2024. Earlier in Liz's career, a position as Job Captain was held at Weber + Thompson from 2000 to 2004. Liz Stead earned an Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) in Public Administration from the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington between 2015 and 2017 and completed studies at the University of Illinois Chicago from 1997 to 1999.
