Julia Read

Julia Read is a multifaceted artist and professional with extensive experience in both new media and aquatic instruction. As a self-employed freelancer since 2013, Julia specializes in new media and design, showcasing a diverse portfolio online. Julia has held part-time roles with the City of Burnaby since 2004 as an Aquatic Leader, Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, and Fitness Instructor, accumulating valuable management skills in aquatic environments. Previous experiences include social media and online marketing for Giants Foot Surf Tours in Nicaragua, and a practicum at VentureWeb Design Ltd, where Julia gained hands-on experience in web design and content management. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Victoria and has furthered education with a Senior Management Certificate in New Media from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a course in Final Cut Pro 7 from the University of British Columbia.
