James Campero

James Campero is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in public works, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Public Works and City Engineer for the City of Camarillo Government since December 2021. Previously, James held the position of Deputy Public Works Director in both the City of Goleta and the City of Brentwood, contributing to significant projects and infrastructure improvements. James began a career in civil engineering with the City of Stockton and has steadily advanced through various roles, including Associate Civil Engineer and Senior Engineer. James earned a degree from UC Davis between 1997 and 2002, establishing a strong foundation for a successful career in public service and engineering.
