Dave Dickey

Dave Dickey has extensive experience in community and economic development. Dave is currently serving as the Community and Economic Development Director for the City of Cape Canaveral since 2014. Prior to that, they held the same position with the City of Winter Haven from 2006 to 2013. Dave also worked as a Development Manager at J & J Development Group from 2003 to 2006 and as a Development Originator at Sterling Development, LLC from 2001 to 2003. Dave started their career as a Site Acquisition Manager at Berliner Communications from 1997 to 1999. Dave also has experience working with the City of Lake Wales as the Community Development Director from 1994 to 1997 and from 1999 to 2001, as well as with the Polk County Planning Department as a Senior Planner from 1989 to 1994.

Dave Dickey obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Geography from Brigham Young University in the years 1983-1987. Dave then pursued a Master of Science degree in Planning/Real Estate Finance from the University of Tennessee from 1987-1989.
