Cecil Rhambo currently serves as the Chief of Police for Los Angeles World Airports since October 2019, and has been the Assistant City Manager for the City of Carson, California, since July 2014, with a tenure as Acting City Manager starting in January 2015. Previously, Rhambo held the position of City Manager for the City of Compton from January 2017 to July 2019, where effective management resulted in a balanced budget for three consecutive years and enhanced economic development. Rhambo's extensive experience includes a 33-year career with the County of Los Angeles, retiring as Assistant Sheriff, overseeing the largest Sheriff’s Department in the United States, with proficiency in various areas such as community policing and policy development. Rhambo holds an MA in Organizational Leadership from Woodbury University and a BA in Sociology from Humboldt State University.
