Mark Metdker

Fire Chief/fire Marshal at City of Celina

Mark Metdker began their work experience in 1983 at the Addison Fire Department in Texas, where they served as a Captain and received several awards for their distinguished service. In 2008, they joined the City of Celina as the Fire Chief and Fire Marshal. In this role, they supervised various departments, including the Police Department, Fire Department, Fire Marshal's Office, and Emergency Management. Mark was responsible for protecting approximately 90 square miles and a population of 20,000. During their tenure, the City of Celina experienced significant growth and underwent a highway widening project that stimulated intense development. Metdker served in this position until October 2016.

Mark Metdker attended Sam Houston State University from 2012 to 2014, where they studied Criminal Justice/Safety Studies. In addition to their college education, Mark Metdker has obtained various certifications from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, including Department Head, Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, and Fire Service Instructor. Mark has also obtained a Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. The obtained month and year for these certifications were not provided.
