Sarah Friedman has a diverse work experience in the education field. Sarah is currently serving as the Chief of Education Strategy for the City of Central Falls. Prior to this role, they worked as a consultant for Learning Heroes (US). Sarah also held positions as a Special Advisor to the Superintendent at New Bedford Public Schools and Co-Founder of The Learning Community Charter School. As the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the charter school, Sarah led the institution for 16 years, successfully closing achievement gaps for low-income and Latino students.
Sarah Friedman received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in American/United States Studies/Civilization from Brown University, which they attended from 1993 to 1997. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdLD) degree in Public Education at Harvard University, with an expected completion date in 2023.
