Shannon Wiggins has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Shannon started their career as a student teacher at Honey Creek Elementary School, assisting with lesson planning and grading papers. Later, they interned at CW69, where they collaborated with other interns and pitched stories for the show "Focus Atlanta." Shannon also helped produce and conduct interviews for special feature shows on important topics. Shannon then worked as a brand representative for Justice before interning at WALB-TV, where they gained experience in all aspects of the news industry, including producing, reporting, and sales. Shannon continued their education at The University of Georgia, where they served as a desk assistant providing customer service and managed front desk operations. Shannon also served as a C.L.A.S.S. advocate, assisting with various activities related to campus life. Shannon then joined GMC - Georgia Military College as a Public Affairs Coordinator before transitioning to a role as a Public Information Officer at the City of East Point. Currently, they are the Public Relations and Communications Director at the City of Chamblee.

Shannon Wiggins obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Broadcast Journalism and Political Science from The University of Georgia between 2009 and 2013. Later, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Education degree in Educational/Instructional Media Design at the University of West Georgia.
