Joe Lamberson

Joe Lamberson currently serves as the Assistant to the Police Chief for Community Services and Public Information Officer at the City of Champaign, where responsibilities include promoting the Police Department through community engagement and overseeing media relations. Previous roles include providing administrative support to the Mayor, City Council, and City Manager, along with a tenure as Office Manager and Contract Coordinator at Hendrick Dorms, Inc., where sales and marketing initiatives were a focus. Joe has also held leadership positions in collegiate media, including Editor-in-Chief at The Daily Illini and Program Director at WPGU 107.1FM. Joe is pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration at the University of Illinois Springfield and holds a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
