Nathan Topping

Nathan Topping is a seasoned professional in talent acquisition and human resources management, currently serving as the Supervisor of Recruiting and Staffing for the City of Champaign since September 2025. In this role, Nathan oversees talent acquisition strategies, develops HR initiatives, and ensures compliance with labor laws while fostering collaborative relationships within the organization. Prior to this, Nathan worked as a Recruiter for the City and County of Denver, focusing on public safety staffing and strategic recruitment initiatives. Nathan’s earlier experience includes serving as a Store Manager at Walgreens, where responsibilities spanned recruitment, onboarding, and operational oversight, as well as participation in community health initiatives. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Iowa and a GED from George Washington High School.
