Amy Goodwin

Amy Goodwin has served as the Mayor of Charleston, WV, since January 2019. Prior to this role, Goodwin held the position of Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Commissioner of Tourism for West Virginia from June 2014 to January 2017 and served as Communications Director in the Governor's Office of West Virginia from February 2012 to June 2014. Previous experience includes leadership as CEO of The Goodwin Group, LLC, and roles as Communications Director for Senator John Kerry and spokesperson in the administration of Governor Bob Wise. Goodwin began their career at West Virginia University, focusing on special events. Educational background includes a degree from West Virginia University, attended from 1989 to 1994.
