City of Chino Hills
Michael Hofflinger is an experienced planning professional currently serving as the Planning Manager for the City of Chino Hills since June 2014, with a progression through positions including Senior Planner, Associate Planner, and Assistant Planner. Prior to working with the City of Chino Hills, Michael was a Project Assistant at MIG and held roles as an Assistant Planner and Planning Intern with the City of Adelanto and City of Pasadena, respectively. Michael's career began with positions at PepsiCo - Frito Lay and A&W Restaurants, Inc. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Victor Valley College.

Chino Hills has always been a special place in Southern California. It is a place that is close in miles to large metropolitan cities and yet far in spirit. Virtually unchanged for hundreds of years, the rolling hills were home to a few ranches and homesteaders. A handful of property owners appreciated the beauty of the hills. The majority of the residents were red tail hawks, mule ear deer, ground squirrels, mountain lions, cottontail rabbits, and coyotes. It is the mission of the City of Chino Hills, in partnership with the community, to continue to develop and maintain the aesthetic beauty of the City, while fostering a safe and family-oriented environment. The City is committed to providing excellent customer service, effectively managing growth, and creating a viable financial plan to ensure the continued success of the City.
