Erwin Magbanua is an accomplished library professional currently serving as the Principal Librarian and Cultural Arts Manager for the City of Chula Vista since September 2018. Prior to this role, Erwin held several positions within the City of San Diego, including Programming and Special Events Manager, where responsibilities involved developing and overseeing library programming, and Branch Manager, overseeing daily operations and staff management at a medium-sized urban branch library. As a Fellow of the 2012 Eureka Leadership Institute, Erwin completed a significant project aimed at assisting job-seeking younger adults using library resources and partnerships. Erwin holds a Master of Library & Information Science from San José State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
