Casey Kempenaar

Casey Kempenaar began their work experience in 2000 as a Ranger at Philmont Scout Ranch (BSA) until 2001. They then worked as a Project Planner at the City of Pismo Beach from 2002 to 2004. From 2004 to 2007, Casey worked as an Associate Planner at Wallace Group. In 2007, Casey joined the City of Citrus Heights as an Associate Planner, and later held roles as a Senior Planner, Associate Planner/Sustainability Coordinator, Planning Manager, and currently as the Community Development Director.

Casey Kempenaar obtained a Bachelor's degree in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, which was completed between 2001 and 2004. Later, Casey pursued a Masters degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University and accomplished it from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, Casey received a certification as an AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) Certified in January 2010.
