Jonathan Stone McGory currently serves as the Assistant Director of Law for the City of Cleveland, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, McGory was Associate Counsel at Greater Cleveland RTA, focusing on contracts and real estate from December 2022 to August 2023. McGory also held the position of Assistant Director of Law at Cuyahoga County from July 2018 to December 2022 and previously served as General Counsel for the Cleveland Airport System from April 2013 to July 2018, collaborating with the Department of Port Control on legal matters regarding Cleveland Hopkins International and Burke Lakefront Airports. Early career experience includes roles as a Law Clerk at Greater Cleveland RTA and a Teaching Assistant at Cleveland State University, as well as a Summer Associate at the Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation. McGory earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Philosophy from The Ohio State University.
