Lewis Smoot III

Lewis Smoot III currently serves as the Assistant Director of Law for the City of Cleveland - City Hall since August 2023. Prior experience includes working as an Associate Attorney at The Spitz Law Firm, LLC from August 2021 to July 2023, and as a Legal Intern at the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic at Case Western Reserve from August 2020 to May 2021. Additionally, Lewis held positions as a Summer Legal Extern with the National Labor Relations Board and as a Summer Legal Intern at the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Early career experience includes roles at Smoot Construction, starting as an Assistant Field Engineer in 2016 and advancing to a Field Engineer position in 2017 and 2018. Lewis earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in American/United States Studies from Kenyon College.
