Derek Howze, MBA, PhD, has extensive experience in public service and real estate, currently serving as a Law Clerk for the City of Cleveland since November 2018 and as a National Board Member for the National Black Chamber of Commerce since April 2017. Derek has been a City Commissioner for Youth Development and Mosaic Housing Services in Cleveland Heights, OH, since January 2001, overseeing significant projects related to adult therapy rehabilitation and youth development. Previous roles include Senior Managing Partner at Direct Elite Globalism Globe Holdings, Brand Management Specialist at Zippfizz Corporation, and various positions within the City of Cleveland, including Parks and Recreation Manager and City Commissioner intern. Derek has also contributed to the City of Cleveland Department of Economic Development as a Magistrate Assistant and has a background in managing expat services for multiple airlines. Derek holds an MBA and a PhD, along with education from Morehouse College from 2017 to 2019.
