Pete De Kock is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public administration and community engagement. Currently serving as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Clive, Iowa, since April 2018, Pete coordinates community engagement across departments, aligns communications activities with city priorities, enhances communication tools, and serves as the Public Information Officer. Previous roles include Executive Director at the Des Moines Social Club, where Pete led strategy and program development for a nonprofit, and Vice President of Operations and Communications at Interfaith America, overseeing various operational functions and leading significant projects. Earlier in Pete’s career, a role as Senior Advisor and District Director for Congressman Bruce Braley involved advising on legislation and managing constituent relations. Educational credentials include a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts from Grinnell College.
