Founded in 1814, Columbia, TN (pop. ~40,000) boasts natural and built scenic vistas renowned state-wide and nationally. The historic downtown and courthouse square serve as the epicenter of the city's commitment to historic preservation and quality of life, encouraging both growth and sense of place defined by landmarks, historic buildings and a model central business district (CBD), a designated Main Street City. 

Many of the CBD's structures and landmarks pre-date the Civil War. Home to the comprehensive Maury County Archives, Columbia is a notable, national cultural-historic tourism destination. The city's direct access to the I-65 and commercial rail transit, close proximity to Nashville and centrality as a trade area serving surrounding cities and counties in South Central Tennessee provide the foundation for the city's growing appeal as a place to work and do business with new business expansion currently underway.
