Sean Canady

Sean Canady has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sean has held various roles in different companies. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as a Data Administrator at Acxiom, where they delivered data products and information to clients. At Conway Copies, Inc. from 2002 to 2006, they served as a Graphic Designer and Assistant Manager, excelling in computer layout, design, and customer service. Sean also worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer from 2006 to 2016. Sean joined the City of Conway in 2006 and took on multiple roles, including Police Officer, Assistant Public Information Officer, and Technology Coordinator and Training Officer. From 2015 to 2019, they served as a Communications Telecom Engineer for the Conway Wireless Information Network. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Information Officer at the City of Conway, which they started in 2019.

Sean Canady attended the University of Central Arkansas from 1998 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design / Management Information Systems. In addition to their formal education, Sean also pursued various certifications. In July 2010, they completed the School Resource Officer Basic training offered by the National Association of School Resource Officers. Sean continued to enhance their skills and qualifications in the field of law enforcement by obtaining certifications such as Taser Instructor, Professional Instructor, and Firearms Instructor from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training in July and August 2013. In November 2013, they became certified as an Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. Sean further expanded their expertise by completing Crisis Negotiations training at the University of Arkansas Criminal Justice Institute in October 2014. Lastly, they acquired the Senior Patrol Officer certification from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training in January 2015 and obtained the P25 System Administrator certification from L3Harris Technologies in April 2016.
