Charles Maughan serves as the Mayor of Corvallis since January 2023, while also working as a Compliance Analyst for the Oregon Housing and Community Services Department since November 2019. Maughan has been actively involved in the Benton County Democrats since May 2016, holding the position of Precinct Committee Person and previously serving as Second Vice Chair from March 2018 to January 2019. Maughan's political experience includes a term as a City Council Member for Corvallis from January 2019 to September 2022, and leadership roles within the Democratic Party of Oregon, including Chair of the Gun Owners Caucus.
