Joseph Meyer currently serves as the Mayor of Covington, Kentucky, a position held since January 2017. Prior to this, Joseph held several influential roles, including Secretary of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet from November 2009 to July 2013, and Deputy Secretary in the same cabinet from October 2008 to November 2009. Joseph has extensive legal experience as an Attorney at Law, which spanned from July 1979 to June 2013. In the political arena, Joseph served as a Senior Policy Advisor for both the Governor of Kentucky and the Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts, and held legislative roles as a Senator and State Representative in the Kentucky General Assembly. Educational achievements include a JD from Northern Kentucky University—Salmon P. Chase College of Law, a Master's degree in Urban Affairs from Saint Louis University, and executive education at Harvard Kennedy School.
