Matthew McDougal

Matthew McDougal currently serves as Senior Vice President and Lead Counsel at Citi since June 2022, while also holding the position of Chair for the Judicial Nominating Commission in the City of Dallas and working as an Adjunct Professor at UNT Dallas College of Law, both since October 2021. Prior experience includes Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from August 2020 to June 2022, and Litigation Attorney at Locke Lord LLP from November 2016 to August 2020, specializing in financial services litigation and representing banks in various legal matters. Earlier roles include Associate Attorney at Kevin Buchanan & Associates, Judicial Extern for the American Bar Association and U.S. District Court, and Legislative Associate at the Texas House of Representatives. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University, with additional certification from the University of Houston Law Center's Blakely Advocacy Institute.
