Amanda Bright McClanahan

Amanda Bright McClanahan has a diverse and extensive work experience. Amanda is currently the Chief Operating Officer at the City of Dearborn since 2022. Prior to that, they had various roles at the State of Michigan. From 2019 to 2022, they served as a consultant and Chief Operating Officer at the Economic Development Corporation. Amanda also held positions as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial/Procurement Officer at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation from 2015 to 2019. Additionally, Amanda was the Director of the Budget and Grant Management Division at the Department of Human Services from 2011 to 2015 and a Financial Specialist at the State Budget Office from 2004 to 2011. Throughout their career, Amanda has demonstrated strong leadership skills and played a crucial role in developing policies, managing budgets, and overseeing funding for various organizations and departments.

Amanda Bright McClanahan attended Valparaiso University from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and French. Following that, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued an MPP degree specializing in the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.
