Karen Pierre has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Karen started their career as a Human Resources Specialist at TeamStaff in 1997 and later worked as a Human Resource Generalist at GMP Companies from 1999 to 2005. Karen then joined Levenger as an HR Manager from 2005 to 2008 and subsequently became the Human Resources Director at the same company until 2012. Following this, they took a break from their career to be a stay-at-home mom from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they joined the City of Deerfield Beach as the Assistant Director of Human Resources. In this role, they managed various operational functions within the public sector/municipal human resources environment, including workforce planning, employment screening, compensation, benefits, and payroll. Karen also managed the HR budget and oversaw contracts and requests for HR-related vendor services.
